Monday Kings City to Coalinga

As we have had little to no secure wi fi the blog has been unable to be kept up to date.
But we are back on line today, just got thru Yosemite, all but 10000 ft and cold and snow, that comes later!

So now the number of pictures is just so big and the story / place names are forgotten.

There has been lots of twee Americanisms ultra polite and very genuine little towns.
Already some what the Fxxx people. - We met this guy and his WhONEeater, at a milkshakebooth, she's called one eater as she only has one tooth.

But the sights and vistas need superlatives to describe and we are only into real day 1, out of SF so mostly I’ll just post a few of different stuff to catch up.

Saturday we went to Alcatraz, fantastic tour and what a place that must have been, took many pictures this is one of the Jail Cells

Sunday
We rode some local roads around SF for the morning and then stopped at the GG bridge viewing area
Golden Gate Bridge, the mist just came in and rolled over the bridge.

The journey has now started for real.
We have completed the getting the bikes out of customs, unloaded and sorting the kit and we have done the “Disney” part of the trip, that is SF.
Off we set over the bridge to SF and South to Monteray

The ride was mostly coast road but thru towns, Hundreds of traffic lights, big junctions, in fact the only thing that is not big in the US is road signage, they assume you know about straight lines and North, South, East, West and sort it yourself.
All along the route, people were stopping and leaning out of car windows and asking us -

Hey Where are you guys from
ENGLAND
You’re kidding me no way
YEP
Where you goin
BALTIMORE
You’re kidding me, no way
YEP
Good luck Guy’s

Breakfast at the Wildhorse Restaurant

The breakfast was called Bruces Mess, trust me it was a mess.

The best road today and so far was 198 to Coalinga this is vast rolling hills and fast sweeping bends.
